Treasure Island Music Festival (TIMF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Funny or Die for the launch of the festival’s first-ever comedy tent. Weekend passes to the ninth annual festival, October 17 & 18 in San Francisco, are on sale now at treasureislandfestival.com.
Treasure Island Music Festival will welcome a lineup of more than fifteen comedians curated by Funny or Die for both days of the Bay Area fest. Ticket holders will have access to some of the most hilarious names in comedy performing in between their favorite TIMF music sets. Stay tuned for the full comedy lineup in the coming weeks.
Additionally, Treasure Island Music Festival is excited to announce the official nightshows for 2015, which feature an eclectic mix of nationally acclaimed and up-and-coming music acts. Hundred Waters will kick off the festivities on Thursday, October 15 at California Academy of Sciences, with Atlas Sound, Autechre, Jessica Pratt and The Strokes’ own Albert Hammond Jr. each set to perform at various Bay Area venues on Friday, October 16. Kero Kero Bonito and Yacht will help close out the festival with performances at Swedish American Hall and The Independent respectively on Saturday, October 17.

In addition to these official night shows and comedy performances, TIMF has anincredible music lineup slated for 2015, which includes headliners The National and Deadmau5 (who will perform for the first time in San Francisco since 2011). TIMF 2015 will also welcome Robyn with her new project La Bagatelle Magique, which will mark their only North American appearance in 2015, CHVRCHES, and The War On Drugs, in addition to Azealia Banks, Father John Misty, Run The Jewels, Panda Bear, Gorgon City (live), STS9, Drive Like Jehu, who haven’t played the Bay Area for over two decades, and more.
At TIMF, attendees will never miss a note of any of their favorite music artists, asthere are no overlapping sets. In addition to the star-studded music lineup, TIMF will provide an array of fun activities at the festival, including the iconic 60-foot Century Ferris Wheel surrounded by an ever-changing eclectic mix of interactive artinstallations and roaming performers. Festivalgoers will also have unparalleled panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay while they enjoy spectacular performances and some of the best cuisine the Bay Area has to offer.
Weekend passes for the ninth annual festival are on sale now. Two-day general admission passes are just $169.50. Additionally, VIP 2-day tickets are available for $315.00, with perks including a preferred viewing area next to main stage, an exclusive tented lounge with full liquor bar, special restroom facilities, VIP food concessions, and additional amenities that will be announced in the upcoming months. 2-Day parking is also available for $80.00.
