TRENDING: Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé Lead VMA Nominations

Awards show junkies, rejoice: It's VMA time! Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Ed Sheeran lead the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nominations, which were announced Tuesday morning in an exclusive (albeit fraught with technical difficulties) event on Apple's Beats 1 Chart.

Swift leads with nine nominations, including video of the year, best female video, and best pop video; Sheeran follows with six nominations, and Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Mark Ronson have five each.

The awards will take place on Sunday, Agust 30; MTV will broadcast the event from the Microsoft theater in downtown Los Angeles. Miley Cyrus, everyone's favorite pop rebel, is set to host. (Viewers will likely remember Cyrus' antics with Robin Thicke during a "We Can't Stop"/"Blurred Lines" medley at the 2013 show, which made ordinary Americans everywhere instant tweaking experts.)
