Aratech Introduces The Arapolarmic Microphone Directivity Monitoring System

Publish date:

Aratech introduces its first product, Arapolarmic. It will be marketed initially as a professional software application for tablets in late April 2014 or early May.

Arapolarmic is a professional audio software tool for monitoring directivity of microphones which improves the decision making process for better positioning microphones in any live or recording set.

With the technical data of each microphone model and through the use of augmented reality, the tool monitors the scene in real time, tracks the microphone’s position and displays its directivity in the tablet's screen through its polar pattern.

Aratech Labs has just begun contacting microphone manufacturers to offer the possibility to 'arate' their microphones. The first brand with which an agreement has been reached is the Austrian LEWITT. The company will be visiting MusikMesse in Frankfurt to introduce themselves to interested parties.

Aratechlabs is a new technological company focused on the development of an innovative concept of professional audio tools, which range from monitoring techniques to calculus models through the use of augmented reality.

The main purpose of Aratechlabs' R+D+I activity is to develop and offer straightforward and visual based techniques and tools, in order to complement audio engineers tasks and sound teaching activities.
