Better Than Ezra Releases New Lyric Video for 'Crazy Lucky'

Better Than Ezra, known for their hits “Good,” “Desperately Wanting,” and “Juicy,” have premiered the lyric video for their first single “Crazy Lucky” off their upcoming album on PopCrush.

The catchy first single “Crazy Lucky” which charted #13 on iTunes Rock Charts, was produced by Grammy nominated mixer/producer Tony Hoffer (Fitz and the Tantrums, M83, Beck, Silversun Pickups). The single is now available on iTunes.

When it comes to inspiration behind the song, lead singer Kevin Griffin says “It’s about that serendipitous moment when you meet the person you are meant to be with and it was luck / fate / destiny that made it happen…it’s kismet.”

Better Than Ezra recently signed to The End Records, marking their first release since 2009's Paper Empire. The band has already announced a US tour and will be hitting major markets in support of their full-length album due later this year.

In related news, Better Than Ezra and the Better Than Ezra Foundation will host their 12th Annual Ezra Open charity at House of Blues New Orleans on Saturday, April 12th sponsored by Ochsner Health System and Play It Forward! The 12th Annual Ezra Open will feature a VIP Casino Night Patron Party followed by a live auction and benefit concert featuring JT Hodges, Matt Nathanson and Better Than Ezra. The Benefit Concert will also be streamed LIVE on Stage It.

Now known as much for their charity work as they are for their music, the Better Than Ezra Foundation has raised over $1,055,000 for various causes in and around New Orleans. Most recently the foundation has adopted Bethune Elementary in the Holly Grove neighborhood of New Orleans where they have built an educational playground, donated school supplies and created and after-school arts and education program.
