Counterpoint Music and Arts Festival Announces Set Times

 Festival organizers for the CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival--Friday, April 25, Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27--have announced the set times for the Georgia event which will conclude with the much-anticipated hometown return of Outkast (10:00 PM) plus Flux Pavilion (11:45 PM) and Tycho (11:45 PM) who will close out Sunday night. Saturday headliners Foster The People (10:30 PM) and Above & Beyond (12:30 AM) will wrap up that night’s performances and Pretty LightsLive Band (10:00 pm) and Krewella (12:30 AM) top the bill on Friday. As previously announced, a special Thursday, April 24 pre-fest celebration will conclude with an 11:15 PM set from Star Slinger; the Thursday pre-party requires separate ticket for admission. Each day, music will kick off at 4:00 PM on Friday, 1:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. View the festival schedule below or online here:

The CounterPoint weekend will include a variety of onsite activities. Daily highlights on the multi-purpose “local stage” in the midway include morning yoga (10:00-11:00 AM, with other sessions to be announced) with renowned yogi Nick Atlas who will lead the group as they embark on a mind and body journey; mid-day daily performances highlighting local talent; The Silent Disco returns with some of your favorite national and local DJs battling late night at the festival. Other CounterPoint activities include workshops (morning meditation, sound meditation healing and monkey chants); hooping demonstrations and creative hoop expressions; gaming (Bocce, Cornhole and giant Jenga, among others); contests: daily costume competitions and a “Pimp your Campsite” challenge, both of which will be judged by CounterPoint contributing artists, with prizes awarded; carnival games and rides.

In addition, this year, CounterPoint has partnered with the world renowned, Scratch DJ Academy to provide educational workshops and experience stations at the festival. On Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-5:00 PM stop by the Midway Stage to get a quick hands-on lesson with instructors from the Academy and take home your very own remix. The Scratch DJ Academy was founded in 2002 by Rob Principe (CEO) and Jam Master Jay (Run -DMC) with the mission to lower the barrier to entry to the DJ artform. By providing education and access, Scratch teaches over 50,000 people how to DJ annually with its locations in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and now Atlanta! This year, CounterPoint will debut its new 5000-acre site featuring gorgeous campgrounds, the Georgia Eats Food Court, bars throughout the festival site (including the Point Draught House, presented by Bell's Brewery, the CounterPoint Cares Non Profit Center, carnival rides, the CounterPoint Arts Village, the official CounterPoint Merch Store, the CounterPoint Game Point, FREE water stations, and plenty of areas to relax and get shade. In addition, daily shuttle service will be available from Atlanta (and other locations throughout the area), prices begin at $55.

A limited number of weekend passes ($199 for three days GA and $224 GA with camping) and single day tickets ($90 per day) remain available at the festival’s final ticket price. VIP, camping and $20 pre-party passes (for the Thursday kick-off event) are also available.
