D16 Group has announced Syntorus, a modeled, double-path analog chorus plug-in (Mac/Win) for the AU and VST formats. On its Website, the company describes Syntorus, which is part of its Silver Line of plug-ins, as follows: "There are many different chorus effect plug-ins available on the market today. However, finding one that gives the classic analog chorus sound is easier said than done. Even on expensive units with advanced parameter controls, getting that vintage chorus timbre can be a challenge. With this in mind, D16 set out to create a plug-in that would have a rich analog chorus similar to the effect found on classic synthesizers like the Solina, Synthex or Juno.
"Syntorus has a unique sound that will add richness to any instrument it is used on. Synthetic basses and leads will come to life. It will also add extra depth and lushness to acoustic instruments."
Features include emulation of analog delay line, double delay line, LFOs synchronized with host application, built-in tremolo effect, presets organized into groups, MIDI Learn function, and 64-bit internal processing.
Syntorus has a price of 35 Euros.
