brings the mystique and splendor of sounds from the Silk Road to users'' workstations. The virtual (software) instrument features a collection of historic and unique string and woodwind instruments from China, Persia and India. All instruments featured are multisampled with attention to detail, offering the maximum in expression. The collection also contains extensive articulations, interval sampling (where appropriate), round robin (alternate samples) and phrases.
More than half-a-million dollars'' worth of pianos are a part of the Pianos collection, including a $225,000 Bechstein D-280 Concert Grand, the same kind of piano engineer/producer Ken Scott used to record Elton John and Supertramp. EastWest invited Scott to engineer the Bechstein''s close-miked recordings to provide users with a cutting, dynamic pop/rock piano sound, in addition to the variety of additional piano sounds included in the collection. Other pianos featured in the library include a Steinway D Concert Grand, a Bösendorfer 290 Concert Grand and a Yamaha C7.
