Upgrade of Acclaimed TH-900 Offers Optional 4-Pin Balanced Cable for Increased Performance
Handcrafted in Japan by one of the world’s most distinguished manufacturers of headphones and loudspeakers, Fostex’s TH-900 Premium Stereo Headphone system has been widely acclaimed in the audiophile and professional headphone marketplace.
Now, the new TH-900mk2 offers the same high-performance design, durable construction and stunning appearance of its predecessor with the addition of a detachable cable system, and an optional balanced cable for significantly improved dynamic range and reduced crosstalk.
The TH-900mk2’s powerful neodymium magnet and unique Biodyna diaphragm provide high-resolution audio reproduction at any sound level. Its rigid, non-resonant housing and its supple Japanese leather cups offer maximum comfort with excellent acoustic isolation. The TH-900mk2 is finished with a premium Japanese Urushi lacquer and the included ST300 stand keeps the TH-900mk2 convenient and attractively displayed.
The TH-900mk2’s detachable cable system allows quick replacement of a worn cable. A gold-plated ¼” TRS headphone cable is standard while an optional 4-pin, gold-plated XLR cable allows the use of a high-performance, balanced drive headphone amplifier like the new Fostex HP-A4BL combination D/A converter and headphone amplifier.
The TH-900mk2 headphones will debut at NAMM 2016, and will be available for sale in March of 2016 at a MAP of $1499.99. See and hear these great new headphones and their perfect companion, the new HP-A4BL combination D/A converter and headphone amplifier at American Music and Sound’s Booth 6464, Hall A.
