GIK Acoustics, a leading manufacturer and seller of top-quality acoustical absorption and diffusion products, announced that company president Glenn Kuras will participate in Prism Sound’s upcoming Mic to Monitor lecture events.

This respected free seminar series brings together renowned audio manufacturers to deliver an evening of thought-proving discussion and debate. Targeted at music production students, hobbyists and professionals, Mic to Monitor aims to dispel the many myths surrounding the recording process and deliver key insights into modern recording and mastering techniques.

GIK Acoustics’ president, Glenn Kuras, will present a discussion on the importance of room treatments and the basics of room setup. Mr. Kuras will also answer audience questions on room acoustics.

Mic to Monitor 2015 will kick off at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, on September 12. The tour then moves to Chicago, Illinois on September 14, Ann Arbor, Michigan on September 15 and Cleveland, Ohio on September 16. More venues and dates are to be added.

This series includes guest speaker Edward J. Nixon, of the Grammy Award winning the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Nixon, who has worked with such luminaries as Drake, Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, Rick Ross and more, will give insight into his career and demonstrate his approach to the workflow, mixing style and processes.

The free seminars will also include presentations from Prism Sound’s Graham Boswell as well as representatives from pro audio brands Audio Technica, SADiE, and PMC Speakers.
