Family of premiere hardware and software companies wins coveted “Best in Show” and “Company to Watch” honors at music industry’s most influential tradeshow

inMusic Brands, Inc. (inMusic), the corporate owner of 12 premiere companies that deliver groundbreaking hardware and software solutions to the music industry, today announced that it was awarded two prestigious awards at the recent NAMM show in Anaheim CA: Best in Show for the Akai Professional Advance Keyboards and Company to Watch for inMusic as a whole.

The annual NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) is the music industry’s largest trade show with attendance of almost 100,000 visitors. NAMM is comprised of over 9000 member companies located in 99 countries and is by far the single largest gathering in the music industry.

Of the thousands upon thousands of new hardware and software introductions shown at NAMM, only a few are awarded the Best in Show award, in their respective categories. The judges at NAMM recognized Akai Professional’s groundbreaking new Advance Keyboards as the winner of the Best in Show in the keyboard instrument category.

The Akai Professional Advance Keyboards usher in a completely new era playability by giving artists the ability to load, play and control all their virtual instrument plugins directly from their keyboard. These new keyboards deliver optimum hands-on performance features with seamless software integration for playing and controlling today’s hottest VST instruments and DAWs.

Available in 25-, 49-, and 61-key sizes, the Advance Keyboards provide unprecedented playability and advanced manipulation of any virtual instrument via an interactive, full-color display complemented by performance-friendly hardware controls. Designed to fuse the power of software instruments with the live playability of a keyboard workstation, the Advance Keyboard series transforms computer-based plugins into an entirely hands-on playing experience.

inMusic also won recognition from NAMM’s judges as a Company to Watch.

In addition to Akai Professional, inMusic’s other members are AIR Music Technology software, Alesis electronic instruments, Alto Professional sound reinforcement, Denon DJ, Denon Professional audio, ION consumer electronics, Marantz Professional recording solutions, M-Audio computer/studio integration, MixMeister software tools, Numark professional DJ equipment and Sonivox virtual instruments.

Together, the inMusic family is one of the industry’s largest and most influential companies, delivering innovative technologies and products that impact every corner of the music market.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the judges at NAMM for both the Best in Show award for our Akai Professional Advance Keyboards and just as importantly, for the Company to Watch award for the entire inMusic family,” said Paul Buckley, Director of Marketing for inMusic. He added, “We are constantly innovating, constantly pushing the limits of what’s possible and then striving to go beyond. Our dynamic combination of hardware and software development teams gives us an unmatched musical synergy that we feel is unequaled by any other organization. I’m very proud of our people.”
