Online videos are one of the best ways to get a company’s message across. With this in mind, Lynx Studio Technology has announced the formation of its own channel on YouTube. The LynxStudioTech channel will inform customers and dealers about the latest in Lynx products and their many uses. The latest videos focus on using the new Hilo AD/DA converter for Mastering and Voice-Over Recording environments. The Lynx Studio channel can be accessed on YouTube by searching for LynxStudioTech from the Add Channels prompt.

“We have been testing this approach since earlier this year and we are quite pleased with the results. Prior to the NAMM Show in January, we put up a pre-show teaser and got nearly 3000 views in one week. It’s a great informational tool,” stated Phil Moon, VP Sales and Marketing. “We have set up a video studio here at Lynx for these YouTube videos, as well as targeted instructional messages for key customers.”

The “Hilo for Mastering” video is an in-depth look at how Hilo’s superb audio quality and flexible routing provide an ideal platform for the crucial mastering step. Lynx Director of Product Support Paul Erlandson shows how Hilo can route analog and digital signal chains using its internal mixer for a comprehensive, compact mastering system. “Hilo for Voice-over” shows several voice-over systems, from a simple one microphone recording to a complex session with backing tracks and effects.

End user interviews are also featured, including Sun Studios in Memphis, who adopted Aurora converters for their recent renovation and Nashville-based producer/engineers Steve Bishir, Chris Grainger and Lee Groitzsch. There is even a Hilo introduction in Russian.

Instructional and informational videos will be added on a regular basis.
