The R-05 compact digital recorder provides crystal-clear audio quality, enhanced recording and editing features, and an extended battery life of more than 16 hours of recording time per charge.

The R-05 provides uncompressed stereo recording directly to SD card with up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Record directly with the built-in stereo microphone or capture sounds from an externally connected microphone or stereo line input. The R-05 also features the same I.A.R.C. (Isolated Adaptive Recording Circuit) as the R-09HR, a dedicated analog circuit optimized for recording with the onboard A/D converter.

Specified regions of audio can be looped, and the playback speed can be adjusted without causing a change in pitch. Rehearsal mode can automatically set the optimum recording level, split songs automatically, and simultaneously record identical WAV and MP3 files.

The R-05 allows for easy file transfer with computers via USB 2, and also allows users to trim, divide, and combine audio files within the recorder. The R-05 is also equipped with built-in reverb.

The R-05 is scheduled to ship in May with a suggested retail price of $299.
