Native Instruments has announced Guitar Rig Session ($249), a recording solution that offers the Guitar Rig platform, an audio interface, and additional recording software.
Guitar Rig Session comes with Steinberg Cubase 4 LE, the Kore Player software instrument, the Pop Drums acoustic drum library, and Guitar Rig 3 XE software. Guitar Rig 3 XE offers 5 tube amplifier models, 12 cabinet types, and 21 stompboxes and effect units. All of the components can be combined in the virtual Guitar Rig rack, which allows you to create a range for different sounds. The Pop Drums library includes more than 150 tones from different musical eras and genres, as well as dual tape-decks, a metronome, a tuner, and a dedicated Live View.
The included USB 2.0 stereo audio interface, Session I/O, features two instrument preamps and studio-grade 24-bit, 192 kHz Cirrus Logic audio converters. The audio interface also offers low-latency drivers and an additional microphone input and headphone output.
Native Instruments expects Guitar Rig Session to be available in June 2008. For more details, visit www.native-instruments.com.
