Tapedesk features:
•Simulates three legendary analog consoles
•Simulates a 2-inch 24-track tape machine
•Recreates the interactions between the console and the tape machine
•Offers precise metering of any point in the sound chain
•Simulates all of the transformers in the original units
•Very low CPU usage: you can open the plugin on each track of your session
•Many presets designed during real mixing sessions

Why Tapedesk?
In the real world, a tape machine is always physically connected to a console. The signal enters into the console's preamplifier, gets fed into the tape machine and is recorded to tape. From there the tape is played back and the audio again hits the console for mixing into its stereo bus.

Recreating this process using separate components is fairly complex but it is the only way to actually replicate the experience of mixing in analog. Tapedesk automates all of these separate processes for you; you only need to insert the plugin on your tracks and enjoy the experience of mixing in a thoroughly analog world!

Tape Machine
Overloud's Tapedesk features a hyper-realistic simulation of a 2-inch 24-track world-class tape machine from a renowned studio in the UK. You can control a myriad of tape parameters, from tape speed to head biasing, in order to have full control of the tonal palette. Every segment in the signal chain has been modeled in order to recreate the authentic analog vibe of the original tape machine.

Console Emulation
Tapedesk also emulates the complete signal paths of three legendary analog consoles; the S4000, the N80, and the T88. These consoles have been used every day for the past 20 years to create thousands of hits in the world's finest studios.

Gems Comp76: Simulation of Legendary FET Compressor-Limiter, $139 MSRP
Overloud releases Comp76, an all-new revolutionary simulation of the legendary FET compressor. Comp76 goes beyond the mere simulation of the original unit by adding features not available in hardware, such as mid-side processing and the parallel compression tool.

Comp76 is the first product in a new high-end Overloud plug-in line, called Gems, dedicated to mixing and mastering.

Comp76 is a superior tool for professional engineers who demand no-compromise mixing.

Gems Dopamine: Audio Enhancer, , $139 MSRP
Overloud's Dopamine is not an ordinary exciter. It emulates two classic tape encoding processors, and uses them to enhance your sound naturally. It is designed to revive individual tracks as well as complex mixes while preserving their natural tone. Overloud's Dopamine does not introduce unpleasant artifacts like typical exciters do. In fact, it dynamically balances the harmonics that naturally exist in the original audio rather than generating non-existent harmonics by synthesizing them.

FEATURES:
•Replicates the enhancing effect of tape noise reduction units
•Simulates two classic processors: the 180 and the 361
•Simulates two cartridges: the A-Type and the Stressor
•Naturally enhances audio by balancing the harmonic content
•Allows you to tweak the dynamic action of the effect
•Very low CPU usage: you can open the plugin on each track of the session with a negligible processor load
•Presets designed during real mixing sessions

How Does it Work?
Overloud's Dopamine models a particular kind of enhancer used in early forms of magnetic tape noise reduction. In the original units the tape was encoded by dynamically brightening the signal then, while playing back, the tape was decoded by filtering the extra brightness and, consequently, reducing the tape hiss. Audio engineers realized that the tape encoding process had a desirable effect on many kinds of audio so they started to use this process in parallel with original tracks to add liveliness. Dopamine replicates this process.

Dopamine is a great way to enhance your tracks without over-hype or unnatural side effects. You owe it to your music to try it!

Gems EQ495: Super Musical EQ, $139 MSRP
The EQ495 Super Musical EQ emulates a very rare, prized analog equalizer, the secret weapon of many award-winning engineers. Originally created as a vinyl transfer console, this industry legend has been used extensively for both mixing and mastering thanks to its “super-musical” EQ curves.

The EQ495 features:
•4th generation DSP technology
•Simulation of all transformers in the original unit
•Preamp + 5 Bands EQ
•Low CPU usage (more than 1500 instances on a Macbook Pro Retina)
•Multilevel undo-redo
•A/B Comparison
•Lots of presets designed during real mixing sessions

Add “Air” to Your Tracks
The world’s best engineers have long understood the need for mixes to sound impressive in people’s homes, not just on studio monitors. Today’s target audience usually listens to music on earbuds or with tiny computer speakers, a far cry from even modest home systems of the 70s. This is where EQ495 excels! EQ495’s equalization curves were designed to enhance clarity, and give presence and depth to your mixes, all while working in the frequency spectrum actually available on your audience’s small speakers or headphones. This level of enhancement is what separates compromised reproduction from a faithfully optimized personal audio experience.

Gems EQ84: Discrete Class A British EQ, $139 MSRP
Overloud's EQ84 is a simulation of one of the most renowned Discrete Class A British EQs, used in countless hits from the '70s to today. All of the components from the original circuit were modeled, including the rich harmonics and saturations that naturally occur when the equalizer is operating.

"I am absolutely in love with the EQ84! A touch of 10 kHz changes everything. You really nailed the Neve saturation. It's so musical and satisfying to the ear."
—Greg Wells (Adele, Katy Perry, Mika, OneRepublic)

The EQ84 features:
•Hyper-realistic simulation of the original unit thanks to Overloud's 4th generation DSP technology
•Simulation of all transformers in the original unit
•Mic/Line preamp simulation
•6 band EQ: 2 shelving, 2 peaking, 1 high cut, 1 low cut
•Low CPU usage: more than 1,500 instances on a Macbook Pro Retina
•Multilevel undo-redo
•A/B Comparison
•Presets designed during real mixing sessions

Capabilities Beyond the Original Hardware
EQ84 extends the features of the original hardware, merging the flexibility of the digital world with the original, unique character of analog processing.

Band Cue —The Cue button allows the user to hear the part of the frequency spectrum that is being affected by that band.
Continuous Frequency Selection —While the original hardware only has preset frequencies, EQ84 allows the user to select all of the intermediate frequencies.
Additional Mid Band —The original hardware has only one Mid band, but Overloud adds a second Mid band for increased flexibility.

A Unique Tone
EQ84 emulates one of the most desired EQ modules in the history of recording and mixing. Its warm, fat, and rich sound, with an incredibly detailed midrange, still excites even the most experienced engineers who mix with it.
EQ84 includes the simulation of both the Line and Mic preamplifiers. This section can be pushed in order to enrich the sound with its characteristic musical saturation.

EQ84 exactly reproduces the original frequency response even in the highest-end of the spectrum, near the Nyquist frequency, the point where most digital simulations fail. Thanks to its proprietary DSP technology, Overloud has been able to achieve this result with no phase distortion and without oversampling.
