Representing PreSonus and the Technology Institute for Music Educators (on whose Board of Directors he serves), Mlynczak met with Senators Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and David Vitter (R-LA) and Congressman William Cassidy (R-Baton Rouge) to discuss the significance of music education and the support needed to ensure that each student has the opportunity to learn music in school. He also joined the NAMM Foundation in awarding the Support Music Award to the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities' Turnaround Arts initiative.

"As a music educator and music education advocate, this effort is near and dear to my heart" says Mlynczak, "The NAMM Foundation prepared us extremely well for our Congressional meetings and in all my appointments I heard personal and passionate stories about how music education played a role in the lives of our representatives and their staffs."
