The C5 has a 24-carat gold-sputtered housing plus a removable presence-boost adapter, whereas the D5 dynamic includes Laminate Varimotion diaphragm technology for smooth frequency response and the highest gain-before-feedback. Both mics feature a dent-resistant spring steel, wire-mesh grille cap; rugged zinc-alloy die-cast housing; an integrated shock-absorber system; gold-plated XLR output connectors; a vinyl carrying bag; and a stand adapter.

Editors Keys are available for Digidesign Pro Tools, Steinberg Cubase and Nuendo, Apple Logic, Propellerhead Reason, and Cakewalk Sonar.
