Apogee has announced a Universal Binary PCI-Express driver for Symphony's 32-channel PCI-Express card. Mac Pro users can download the new driver here.

Cycling '74 has updated Soundflower (Mac OS X) with Universal Binary support. Version 1.2 is a freeware system extension that allows you to route and monitor audio between Core Audio applications.

E-mu is shipping the Platinum 88 Grand Piano Sound Library ($149.99) for Emulator X and Proteus X. Platinum 88 uses a sampled Steinway Model L grand piano and features 12 layers of samples for each of the piano's 88 keys. Overall, the sound library has over 7 GB of 24-bit grand piano samples. Korg has announced Operating System Version 1.2 for the OASYS. MORE.

MOTU is shipping the Universal version of Digital Performer (Mac OS X). Registered users of Digital Performer 5.0 can now download Version 5.1 at MOTU's Web site.
