CME free, custom-fit aluminum case, training videos, Livewire Electronics new analog synthesizer modules, Sonicprojects OP-X, Toontrack multi-microphone drumsampler and more

CME is offering a free, custom-fit aluminum case to the first 999 registered customers who purchase a BitStream 3X, a three-axis, fully programmable MIDI controller that includes more than 13,000 presets for samplers, synthesizers, and software. has released the first group of training videos for its Studio Series collection. The videos focus on miking and recording drums, and they utilize real video footage of engineers, producers, and artists using the tools commonly found in today's recording studios.

Livewire Electronics has introduced three new analog synthesizer modules: the Dalek Modulator, the Vulcan Modulator, and the Dual Bissell Generator. In addition, they are no longer part of the EAR group and have launched an independent Web page.

Sonicprojects has created the OP-X (Mac/Win), a virtual version of the legendary Oberheim OB-X. The synth is available as a VST plug-in and as an instrument for Native Instruments Reaktor.

Toontrack has announced that EZdrummer v. 1.0.2 (Mac/Win; S179), a multi-microphone drumsampler, now supports RTAS for Version 7 or higher of Pro Tools M-Powered, LE, and HD systems.
