The Xone series of mixers from Allen & Heath has a new member, the Xone:S2. The new 19-inch, 4-rackspace DJ mixer includes four stereo dual-input channels, two mono mic/line channels, a USB audio interface, and 3-band EQ on each channel. Designed for permanent club installation, with additional P.A. integration features, the S2 is available with either rotary or linear faders, a VCA crossfader with adjustable curve control, three headphone outputs, and Xone filters.
CME has announced the new U2 line of USB 2.0 cable interfaces. The U2GKB—for guitar, keyboard, and bass—includes a preamp, real-time monitoring, a 1/4-inch input, and a USB output. The U2MIC features 48V phantom power for condenser mics, a preamp, an XLR input, and a USB output. Finally, the U2MIDI MIDI-to-USB cable has one MIDI In, one MIDI Out, and Mac and PC compatibility.
Monster is shipping the new Pro Power 900 PowerCenter ($129.95). Weighing nearly four pounds, the rackmountable AC power conditioner includes Monster's Clean Power Stage 1 filtering, Dual-Mode Plus surge protection, ten switched outlets (two on the front panel), and an eight-foot PowerLine 100 cable.
