One of the many new items to be released at Musikmesse this week is Focusrite's Liquid Mix 2.0. The updated software features an EQ sidechain on the compressor, which provides an additional one-band EQ to be fed into the sidechain of any compressor emulation. Expect v. 2.0 to be available as a free download at the beginning of April 2007.

IK Multimedia is now shipping Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition (Mac/Win; $249), a virtual instrument orchestral plug-in available in VST, RTAS, and AU formats or as a standalone. Miroslav Philharmonik CE offers 1.5 GB of solo orchestral instruments and ensembles sampled in Prague's historic Dvorák Symphony Hall. MORE.
