Blue Cat Audio has released Parametr'EQ series v. 3.0 (Windows; $69), which can be purchased separately, in a bundle, or as part of the company's new Master Pack ($199). The updated Parametr'EQ plug-in offers significant improvements to its audio engine and user interface, including non-linear behavior, an output brickwall limiter, oversampling, new low cut and high cut filters, smooth bypass, window opacity management, zooming, and frequency response measurement.

Kong Audio's ChineeKong is a sample-based Chinese percussion VSTi that includes over 500 MB of sampled gongs, cymbals, drum sets, wood percussion, bells, and other percussion instruments. Version 2.8, which was just released, allows you to arrange keyswitching sequences.

MXL Microphones is shipping the MXL.008 (Mac/Win; $199) USB/cardioid condenser microphone. The large-diaphragm mic features support for USB 1.1 and 2.0, a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, and gain adjustment settings via a three-position attenuation switch. MORE.
