Audio-Technica is now offering ATH-PRO700 SV Professional Monitor Headphones ($279). These compact headphones feature 53 mm diameter drivers, neodymium magnets, and 3,500 mW of power handling.

Muse Research has released Version 1.5 of UniWire audio and MIDI networking technology. UniWire allows customers to turn Muse Research's Receptor hardware plug-in player into an external, modular DSP accelerator for any computer. Customers can offload processor intensive tasks to the Receptor while retaining control and integration with a computer DAW program. Version 1.5 software with UniWire is pre-installed on all new Receptors, and is available as a free download.

Universal Audio has announced the UAD-1e Express PAK and UAD-1e Expert PAK, along with PCI Express DSP Cards & Powered Plug-Ins. The UAD-1e Express PAK ($499 street) and Expert PAK ($999 street) is bundled with UA's core 15 free Mix/Gtr FX plug-in suite. Also included are vouchers that customers can use to pick and purchase UA plug-in authorizations online.

Virtuasonic has released Synesthesia ($34.95 + shipping), a convolution impulse response library with over 1,000 individual impulse responses.
