Coinciding with the Beatles' 40th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper''s Lonely Hearts Club Band, EastWest is shipping Fab Four Virtual Instruments ($395). This massive collection features the same kinds of guitars, basses, drums, keyboards, amps, mics, recording consoles, outboard equipment, and tape recorders that the Beatles used in production.

Homegrown Sounds has released the Astralis VSTi Synthesizer Pack (Windows; $27.96 introductory price), which features two synths with dual and spectral oscillators, two cascadable filters, two modulation sequencers, a gate sequencer, effects, a 24-note microtuning patch system, and much more. According the manufacturer, the soft synth's pads, textures, and microtonal capabilities are great for creating ambient and atmospheric sounds.

M-Audio is set to release Microsoft Vista 32-bit drivers for a slew of the company''s products. So far, the drivers are available for Session KeyStudio, Session with Fast Track USB, and Session. Just released from VirSyn is miniTERA 2.1, which offers a new streamlined sound browser and several bugfixes: you can now change sample rate (for RTAS), load projects with multiple instances (for Mac), and have arpeggio notes stop after the sequencer stops (for Cakewalk Sonar). miniTERA 2 is free for all users of TERA 3.
