"...on Lost in the Dream, the most crucial details are found in its structural mutations. The album is loaded with songs whose greatness is revealed slowly, where the simplest, most understated chord change can blow a track wide open and elevate it from simply pretty to absolutely devastating."-- Pitchfork [BEST NEW MUSIC, 8.8]

"a spectacular example of channeling personal catharsis into great art." -- SPIN [ESSENTIALS, 9/10]

It's been an exciting few months for The War On Drugs, already one of 2014's best breakout stories! Following the release of Lost In The Dream, an album that continues to receive unbelievably positive praise (the album is in the top 20 on Metacritic) and a wealth of airplay with alternative, commercial and public radio, the record debuted at #26 in the Top 200 (7 weeks post-release, they're still in the Top 200) and the band sold out shows at large venues all over the country, including multiple nights in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Portland. Before heading overseas, The War On Drugs is announcing some select summer dates, including a headline slot at New York's Northside Festival's outdoor show, and a big fall tour, taking them back to many cities they played on the first run, only much larger venues this time, and a bunch of cities they haven't yet hit in support of this new release. The War On Drugs, a band who play their hearts out every night, are known for their tremendous live show. As Grantland so rightly said, "Dream demands to be heard - to blossom, even - in large rooms," and that couldn't be more true!
