Native Instruments Reaktor 6 Player
Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player provides the platform for many sample library and virtual instrument developers - both large and small - to market their creations. Now the company has launched Reaktor 6 Player, a free host version of the Reaktor modular syntheiszer environment. With Reaktor 6 Player, users can wield powerful instruments and effects that NI and third-party developers either sell or give away. You can get started with Reaktor 6 Player using two free devices from NI: the Blocks Wired pre-patched modular synth and the Mikro Prism synthesizer. Block Wired comes from the Reaktor Blocks virtual modular system and comes ready to create and sequence a wide range of instruments and audial textures. Mikro Prism is a scaled down, free version of the popular Reaktor Prism “modal bank” synth.

You can create rhythmic and percussive patterns wth its eight-step sequencer, while many parameters, such as file position, global pitch, fragment size, and hold values can change either manually or with each step of the sequencer. Steps can also be muted or skipped to create variation, and there are four playback modes—forward, backward, ping-pong, and random—and three speeds: half, normal, and double.

Each of Sempler’s two channels has its own buffer and sequence configuration. It works with WAV and AIFF samples.
