Next you’ll need some sounds to run through the effect, so I’ll point you to a source of nearly endless community-created samples and recordings.

FREE UNTIL NOVEMBER 22, 2017: Soundtoys Little Plate Reverb Plug-in
To everyone’s delight, Soundtoys has continued its tradition of introducing its “Little” effects plug-ins with a limited-time giveaway period. But there’s nothing little about Little Plate’s sound, or the equipment Soundtoys modeled to make it. The original wood-clad EMT 140 plate reverb weighs a massive 600 pounds and remains the most iconic plate reverb. It uses a magnetic transducer to vibrate a large sheet of metal and a pickup to capture the metallic-sounding reverberation that still sounds unique to any other reverb.

The EMT 140 only had a maximum of five second of reverb time, but Little Plate’s decay ranges for .5 seconds to infinity, where the reverberation keeps evolving with new input audio and never fades away.

You’ve got to get this incredible plug-in by this November 22, after which Little Plate will assume its regular price of $99. Either way, Little Plate will be included as part of the Soundtoys 5 Bundle, so owners of that can download it anytime.
