Metal-Oriented Collection Out Now
Image placeholder title

Toontrack released Hi-Energy Grooves, a collection of drum MIDI beats and fills performed by Jason Bowld (Axewound, Pitchshifter). This title, which concludes the company’s annual Metal Month release activities, underlines the fact that metal isn’t all about blast beats and rampant tempos – it’s about the groove as well.

With a history in bands such as Pitchshifter, Bullet For My Valentine and Axewound, Jason has cemented a position as one of metal’s most solid and dynamic drummers. This goes to show in this versatile collection of grooves and fills. It takes you from basic, sturdy 4/4 beats and inventive double-bass patterns to finally combust in intricate 6/8 and 9/8 grooves – all infused by Jason’s highly energetic signature style and feel.

In essence, great, solid mid to uptempo grooves for any modern metal song in need of an ironclad foundation.
