UVI announces Retro Organ Suite, successor to UVI’s Retro Organs, boasting 6 new and revamped instruments including an all-new rotary speaker emulation and a deep sampling of 10 classic electronic organs dating back to the ‘40s
UVI announces Retro Organ Suite (ROS), an extensive update to Retro Organs, including 6 new and revamped instruments, a powerful FX section with an all-new modeled rotary speaker effect, and a massive 20,000-sample library delivering a pristine and authentic look at 10 classic electronic organs from the 20th century.
ROS provides an essential suite of electronic organ instruments that showcase the natural character and tonal range of a diverse selection of electronic organs including the Hammond B3, Vox Continental, Eminent Grand Theater 2500, Korg CX-3, Philips Philicorda, Philips AG7500, Farfisa Compact Duo, Farfisa Combo Compact, Elka Classic and Hammond M100. Aiming to preserve the sound of these vanishing instruments, deep sampling sessions were made with fully restored units, capturing sound from the built-in speakers, rotary cabinets, with numerous settings, and even incidental mechanical sounds from playing them. Using nothing but top-grade gear from microphones through to choice preamps and processors, ROS instruments have an extraordinarily clear and physical sound that aims to come as close as possible to playing the actual organs.
Leveraging these samples within the UVI EngineTM flexible hybrid-instruments are created, providing users with both the untreated sounds of the original hardware and the advanced sound design facility of a modern digital studio. All sounds in ROS can be customized from subtle to extreme effect; shape your perfect jazz organ, create a ripping lead from a ‘60s Italian combo, or build a brooding pad from a ‘40s Hammond. The huge variety of samples presented in UVI instruments can serve as both destination or starting point with near unlimited sound design potential.
Retro Organ Suite offers native 64-bit standalone operation through UVI Workstation, comprehensive DAW support (including 64-bit AAX) and support for simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers or iLok keys.
