Produced by: Chuck and Mark Knopfler, Mastered by: Bob Ludwig
One of the more solid popular rock releases of the early to mid-’80s is presented again with superior sound quality as a double sided disc, playing in both ARS, DDS, and SR CD. Chuck Ainlay has employed AMD’s 64 bit Opteron chip technology to record Mark Knopfler, thus securing him a Grammy nomination for Best Surround Sound Album. The short of it is: this release sounds phenomenal-using modern technology to enhance what was already a very good album. If you are even a fairweather Dire Straits friend, you probably need to work on getting this.
