Antares Audio Technologies has announced Auto-Tune 5 (Mac/Win; $399 for Native and $649 for TDM), a real-time pitch correction tool that features an improved pitch detection algorithm, a new interface, and consolidated Pitch Tracking control.
Automatic Mode features include the humanize function and real-time natural vibrato adjustment.
Graphical Mode features include a larger Pitch Edit Display; sync-to-host transport; selectable Clock Source; real-time pitch tracking display; full-time correction mode; multiple simultaneous Graphical Mode instances; enhanced Envelope Display functionality; real-time graphical vibrato depth adjustment; and compatibility with Pen Tablet Input.
Auto-Tune 5 will available in early November 2006 for TDM, RTAS, VST, and AU, and all Mac versions are Universal Binaries. Upgrades to Auto-Tune 5 will be available for purchase and download by current registered Auto-Tune owners. Anyone who has purchased and registered a copy of Auto-Tune 4 after September 15, 2006 will be entitled to a free upgrade to Auto-Tune 5.
