PARAMORE UNVEIL “SPRING TOUR”;
COAST-TO-COAST TREK INCLUDES

YEAR-END AWARDS AND ACCLAIM
Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has unveiled details of its upcoming headline tour. The tour is set to kick off on April 26th with a home state show at Tennessee’s Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Dates will then continue through mid-May (see attached itinerary). Support will come from Relient K and fun.

The tour comes hot on the heels of Paramore’s recent European itinerary, a blockbuster trek that saw the Grammy Award-nominated band blowing the roof off of sold-out arenas across the continent, including London’s 12,500-capacity Wembley Arena. Next month will see Paramore venturing across the Pacific for a long-awaited tour of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, which already includes sold-out shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
In addition, Paramore is set to headline the first day of 2010’s installment of The Bamboozle New Jersey. The hugely anticipated annual festival is slated for Saturday, May 1st at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Paramore’s acclaimed third album, “brand new eyes,” has just been certified gold by the RIAA for sales now exceeding 500,000. The collection was among 2009’s biggest popular and critical successes, coming in as the “Album of the Year” in Alternative Press’ “Readers Poll ’09,” as well as the #2 favorite on the magazine’s own “Best Albums of 2009” tally. The New York Times’ Jon Caramanica placed “brand new eyes’ on his 2009 Top 10, praising it for “choruses (that) roll up like tidal waves.”
What’s more, Spin counted “brand new eyes” among its “40 Best Albums of 2009,” noting that Paramore have “entered the rarified world of rock that matters.” Spin also named the opening night of last fall’s “The PARAMORE Tour” as one of its “30 Biggest Concerts of 2009.”
Further honors keep piling up, with Paramore recently being declared “Favorite Rock Band” at the 2010 People’s Choice Awards. In addition, the band’s smash single, “Decode” – featured on Summit Entertainment/Chop Shop/Atlantic’s “TWILIGHT—ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK” – has been nominated as “Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television, Or Other Visual Media” at the upcoming 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
“Ignorance,” the sensational first single from “brand new eyes,” is now poised to impact at CHR/Pop radio outlets nationwide, having already been a top 10 smash at Alternative Rock outlets. Furthermore, a second single, “Brick By Boring Brick,” is currently blowing up at Alternative Rock, with its companion video clip – directed by Meiert Avis (U2, New Found Glory, matchbox twenty) – now topping FUSE’s No. 1 Countdown. “Brick By Boring Brick” is also a top 10 video smash at MTV2.
