Summit Audio Releases FeQ-50

Summit Audio has released the FeQ-50, a single-channel, 4-band, parametric EQ with iron-based circuitry. Each of the four bands features switch-selectable frequencies. with six frequencies on each band, as well as fully sweepable gain of ±14 dB with a center detent at 0 dB.

Summit Audio has released the FeQ-50, a single-channel, 4-band, parametric EQ with iron-based circuitry. Each of the four bands features switch-selectable frequencies. with six frequencies on each band, as well as fully sweepable gain of ±14 dB with a center detent at 0 dB. The low and high bands feature peaking or shelving select, and the middle two bands have wide and narrow switches. The passive highpass filter has a knee at 80 Hz with a 6 dB-per-octave roll-off. The signal path is transformerless.

Housed in a 1/2U chassis, the FeQ-50 has balanced XLR and unbalanced ¼-inch inputs using a Neutrik combo jack. For outputs, the FeQ-50 has balanced XLR (+4 dB) and balanced ¼-inch TRS (–10 dB) for both the solid-state and tube signal paths, all of which are individually buffered and can be used simultaneously.
